Ben Franklin by Richard Uriostegui

Ben Franklin was born in Boston, 1/17/1706. As an adult Franklin invented a lightning rod. The lightning rod protected the houses from lightning. Instead of the houses burning down it would just hit the lightning rod and all would just be the same like if nothing happened. So that's why I think Ben Franklin is one of the most amazing engineers. One of the other inventions is the kite. Right now, in the present, it's just built for fun, and so kids can have more fun insted of them staying inside and playing video games. As he was in his teen years he was apprentice to his brother as a printer. After that he started inventing. While he was building he never gave up and he perseverd. He invented lots of other machices like the oven. The oven was one of the biggest ovens ever. So he must be pretty good if made a giant oven, but he dident have all the matirals he needed for the one we have in the 2000s. So it must have been hard because it was just a big box and it looked complicted when I saw it. Now lets talk about his inventions. One of my personal favorites is the glass harmonica. He even invented his own glasses, and they are called bifocals. Ben Franklin also invented the odometer. He had a wife that he loved with all his heart. Her name was Deborah. As he lived his life I thought it was interesting.

His Inventions are at the bottom:

  1. You did a lot of research and you posted a lot of really good information. Ben Franklin was very clever and creative. I did not know that he invented the oven. Cooking would certainly be a lot different if he hadn't invented it. Bifocal glasses have helped millions of people be productive by allowing them to see better. Do you like to read about science? Do like to read biographies? He was also one of the Founding Fathers of America.

  2. Your blog gave me a lot of information about Ben Franklin that was very interesting. In addition to being a great inventor, he was interested in politics and was the U.S. ambassador to France. It's amazing how much he accomplished during his life!
